Bourne House Admission Criteria
Five Rivers specialises in providing medium to long term placements where there is:
- A history of trauma, abuse or placement breakdown.
- A focus on a planned return to the family home.
- A planned focus on preparation to live within a family placement.
- A need for a structured environment to provide safety and stability.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide placements for young people where there is:
- Evidence of psychosis.
- Section 53 offences.
- Where there is a history of re-offending behaviour or criminal activity, which may directly affect the safety of others in the home.
- Life threatening violence which has precipitated the referral to our service.
- Young people with a physical disability requiring the use of a wheelchair.
Each case will always be assessed individually.
