Education service roles
As part of our bespoke, child-centred packages of integrated care, we are able to offer specialist education in our independent day schools in Salisbury and Taunton, and our classrooms in Leeds and Orpington. All our teaching staff benefit from receiving the same positive behavioural support and training in therapeutic intervention that we give to our residential staff. This ensures continuity for our young people, between school and home.
We are always very keen to hear from qualified or non-qualified teachers and teaching assistants with SEN experience, who are interested in joining our Education service.
1ACE – ‘Another Chance Education’
1ACE offers a proven alternative for children who have struggled in formal education or conventional settings. Our specialist teachers and support workers bring these children another – and different – chance, working in community settings to boost their confidence and self-esteem, and to pass on the skills they need to be a successful learner.
No child is the same, so our team works with approved specialist providers to tailor bespoke educational packages. In practice, this might mean academic subjects (English, maths, science, ICT, humanities, PSHE, PE) combined with kinaesthetic learning and practical activities such as horticulture, mechanics, art and music, and indeed innovative therapeutic input such as equine therapy.
This brings a special and fresh dimension to the role of teaching, and we are always keen to hear from qualified and non-qualified teachers and teaching assistants with SEN experience, who are interested in joining this rapidly expanding part of our service.
