Ebble House
Group Living Residential Service Salisbury
A Specialist Residential Service For Adolescent Boys
Ebble House is an established group living residential service based in Salisbury, Wiltshire that offers 5 specialist residential programmes on a medium to long-term basis.
Ebble has built on over 17 years experience in providing treatment services for adolescent boys up to the age of 18 into semi-independence.
Ebble House is located in close proximity to our ‘Outstanding’ registered school, The Farringdon Centre. These services working together provide an integrated approach for both therapeutic care and educational packages, which are developed to meet the needs of each individual.
Practitioners recognise that the behaviour presented by the boys is the result of the emotionally damaging experiences that they have faced through their previous abusive, neglectful and inconsistent parenting. The task is to bring some normality, stability, routinesand sense of belonging back into their lives.
Practitioners at Ebble have been trained to use the ‘Authentic Warmth’ model that adopts an authoritative parenting style, which reinforces boundaries and socially responsible behaviour but also combines psychological and emotional support.
The unit also has access to our psychotherapist who works with our practitioners to provide an expert clinical oversight and assists to deliver a range of psychotherapeutic services including: strategising appropriate, targeted interventions; therapeutic communication and regular assessments to ensure that the young person is progressing and any further needs are being identified.
