Practice Development Through Innovation
Five Rivers and Bournemouth University announce a three-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership funded and supported by the Government’s Technology Strategy Board. Using current and archived data from Five Rivers Residential Care and Foster Care services, this longitudinal academic study is one of the largest of its kind undertaken in the U.K. It provides a unique opportunity for research and development to support the implementation of an innovative practice model for the assessment, intervention and treatment of looked-after children.
This partnership received financial support from the Knowledge Transfer Partnerships programme (KTP) KTP aims to help businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK knowledge base. Our Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme is part funded and supported by the Technology Strategy Board and other government funding organisations.
As a sector leading social enterprise, our continuous research and development of clinical based practice underpins Five Rivers approach to improving outcomes for looked-after children.
Once developed, this new practice model will be made available to the wider national care community, thereby improving the wellbeing and outcomes for looked-after children.
You will find some of our research released under this section, which may form part of the PhD study undertaken as part of this project.
