Education and Additional Support

Five Rivers is committed to ensuring that all young people in our care have access to appropriate educational opportunities.  We are able to provide Independent Education provision for young people in our Education Resource Unit, which is a separate building to the house.

This is an integral part of the package and we are active in working with the Local Education Department to access the most suitable local provision once young people are able to return to mainstream education.  Our packages of support can be tailor made to meet the individual needs of young people and their placing authorities.  This provision is delivered and co-ordinated by an experienced teacher.

Support is also available in the form of therapeutic intervention or psychiatric assessment where this is identified as beneficial.

Young people at Willow House also have access to a range of additional support such as Clinical and Educational Psychology, individual therapy from a range of models and other professionals as necessary.
