“Young people benefit from leaders and managers who strive to continually improve the service for young people” – Ofsted 2015.
Clannad is an established children’s home based in the London Borough of Bromley. The home is situated in a quiet residential street and has excellent links to local support services, schools, colleges and public transport.
The home specifically looks after adolescents up to the age of 16 who have experienced abuse, neglect and post-traumatic rejection. Our practitioners are experienced in working with children who have been traumatised by their past and understand the impact that parental rejection has on emotional developmental and needs.
All admissions are planned with clear objectives established on the needs of the individual young person. The team promotes the strengths of all young people regardless of past experience or behaviour and the team is supported and trained to deliver maximum opportunities within a therapeutic crisis intervention model.
Therapeutic assessments and treatment programmes are managed by our psychotherapist who works closely with the team achieving “positive results which give them a sense of achievement”- Ofsted 2015.
The service also benefits from having on-site DfE registered education provision – described by one young person as “the best – I want to stay here just for the education”.
