The Farringdon Centre Somerset
Education is one of the most powerful tools at our disposal. Commitment to educational availability stands at the core of Five Rivers philosophy, both for the young people in our care and the workers who care for them.
This will complete our range of Five Fundamental Services located in the Somerset area which is both a multidisciplinary and systematic approach to working with children who display challenging and disturbing behaviours with a main stream education environment.
Authorities will now have priority access to our Residential Services, Crisis Intervention Centres, Assessment and Therapy Framework and Education Services.
The new school is staffed by a dedicated team of specialist teachers and tutors, it offers opportunities for learning to young people who might otherwise be overlooked or be in need of bespoke education programmes.
Delivering teacher based systems at minimal class sizes, the young people’s needs can be met and developed in a manner which suits their pace. Places are also available to Day Pupils, the facility is not restricted to young people in our residential care.
A combination of these residential services and education services can become a first step towards a normalised child-centred, integrated care option for children and young people who have been described as difficult to place.
